Born in 1986.
He lives and works in Cotonou (Benin).
A self-taught artist, Nathanaël Vodouhè has built his artistic training through his encounters, notably by joining the workshop of the artist Dominique Zinkpè and by participating in numerous artistic residencies (Belgium, Morocco, Senegal…).
With a fine mind, a sure hand and the right line, Nathanaël Vodouhè serenely draws us into his universe, making his inner paths perceptible. Like cocoons combining fragments of the body with a silky material, Nathanäel Vodouhè’s totemic sculptures and installations question the relationship to addictions, the power games between beings and the hyper-consuming society. His performances question the absurdity of situations that result from the exploitation of man by man.
