As a self-taught artist, it is only after a few years spent in the world of finance that the young artist traded his suit to devote himself full-time to his passion.
Drawing his inspiration from the figurative art of one of his masters, Lucian Freud, Mohamed Said Chair paints oil portraits revealing the raw intimacy of his models. Thus, through a particular acuity that does not want to hide any detail, the artist applies himself in an obsessive quest to probe human nature through its carnal envelope. Drapery, anatomical precision, verdaccio : he uses classical academic techniques to question mass culture and modern alienation.
