POES

Born in 1983. He lives and works in Lyon (France). His relentless graffiti practice led him to travel all over Europe at a very early age. An insatiable traveller, he multiplies encounters and paints in the four corners of the continent, from Oslo to Istanbul, from Berlin to Belgrade. Giving up the bomb for the brush, Poes uses derision to turn his paintings into poetic odes, reflections of a dreamy society. As a regular guest of Jardin Rouge, POES constructs his paintings as a reduced theatre of reality and of his own dreams. Through a playful and informed response to the ambient conformism, he deploys humour and irony to deliver fantastic stories.
