For the past three years, Ignacio Lobera has been a regular guest at the Jardin Rouge. From his research, emerges the will to decipher the ancient memory to put it in perspective with contemporary history. From fiction to reality, classical and modern tragedies have a common language: a character, a guilty action, a punishment.

He therefore infiltrates the timeless mythologies of Prometheus, Arachne, Sisyphus, Eve… and explores the new mythologies by choosing real personalities such as Egon Schiele, Concha Robles, Pier Paolo Pasolini or Julian Assange and Karen Mugler. With an accurate gesture, he questions the inventory of values and norms of our civilizations and those more dated. The founding mechanisms have the same structure, but reveal the ambivalence of beliefs.

With little material and without artifice, the viewer discovers the work. The line allows him to play on the rhythm, the variations of the compositions offer to play on the perception. From the creation to the act, we can guess the work and the physical performance behind each of his drawings. They have something that vibrates, a magnetism that invades us.
