The artist uses a painting that might seem recreational to talk about complex subjects and question the role of art in general and society. Thibault Laget-Ro has developed a characteristic style using flat tints of color, representing individuals with no indication of geographical, sociological or genomic affiliation. Thibault Laget-Ro’s subjects are engaged and confront us with a certain reality without imposing it on us.
He has worked for many years with famous war reporters (Patrick Chauvel, Camille Lepage…) who have led him to deal with various world conflicts such as the war in Syria or to address the issue of migration.
His works are among the collection of the Musée d’Art Contemporain de Baie Saint Paul (Canada), the Artothèque de Draguignan (France), the Artothèque de Lille (France), the COLAS Foundation (France).
