Born in 1977.
He lives and works in Paris (France).

KATRE has been passionate about graffiti from an early age and devotes his master’s degree in plastic art to the temple of the Parisian underground, the Molitor pool.

The memory of cities is a true common theme in his work and an inexhaustible subject for the artist. His work explores abandoned places, objects of fascination and reflection on the occupation of urban territories.
In his studio, KATRE silkscreen prints his black and white photographs on different supports and then paints a brightly coloured letter – often the letter K in his name – that can be likened to explosive strokes of speed. The final, complex work is characterized by a dynamic and contrasted composition, the flashes of color merging with the rubble, the metal bars of the photographed places, which are themselves very real.
