19.02 – 31.03.2018

IN-DISCIPLINE is an itinerant support programme initiated by the Montresso* Art Foundation, aimed at visual artists in a first three-year phase in Africa. No one doubts the cultural diversity and creative expressions of Africa. The continent develops with serenity its creative explorations. Contemporary art, its artists and their works are one of the vectors of this artistic development.

For the first edition, the Montresso* Art Foundation invites the artist Dominique Zinkpé to select and sponsor four Beninese artists: Ishola Akpo, Charly d’Almeida, Gérard Quenum and Nathanaël Vodouhé. Cotonou is invited to Marrakech with its most prolific contemporary artists. Through their creations, they question our societies with conviction, not without a touch of humour and poetry. They reflect the facets of our world and our continent through a variety of media that are constantly renewed.

The programme was presented as part of 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair – February 2018
