Born in 1988.
He lives and works in Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo).

A graduate of the Institute and Academy of Fine Arts in Kinshasa, and winner of a Wallonia Brussels International scholarship, he participated in the Royal International Summer Academy of Wallonia in 2015.

Through a multidisciplinary practice, Serge Diakota Mabilama questions human mobility in search of identity, confronted with social, political and cultural problems. A direct and imaginative way of addressing everyday problems, the artist’s questions take shape on supports from everyday life such as capsules or plates.

Serge Diakota Mabilama participated in the Cape Town Art Fair in 2017, in the MEGAPOLIS exhibition at the Grassi Museum in Leipzig in 2018. He participated in the third edition of the IN-DISCIPLINE programme presented by the Montresso* Art Foundation during the 1-54 Fair (Marrakech) and then at the EXPRESSIONS space of the CDG Foundation (Rabat).
