Born in 1992.
He lives and works in Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo).
A Congolese artist with a degree in visual arts from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kinshasa, he collaborates with the Kin Art Studio (KAS) in Kinshasa. He is co-founder of the group Vision Total (vi.to).
As a multidisciplinary artist, his work deals with the process of reflection in which the re-appropriation and contextualization of the aesthetics and philosophy of the ancestral myths of the Congo appear at the crossroads of universal iconography. The Nkisi Mangaaka, the subject of his questioning, takes a pre-eminent place as a timeless divinity now erased by the “new gods” of consumerism. The hybrid images revealed in his works act as a metaphor for the process of identity that lies in the unequal cultural exchange between the African continent and the rest of the world.
His works are present at the Wits Art Museum (WAM) in Johannesburg, the Leipzig Museum, the Montresso* Art Foundation (Morocco) and in numerous private collections. Selected in 2021 by the prestigious Black Rock residence founded in Dakar by Kehinde Wiley, he is also represented in France by Magnin-A art gallery.
