Born in 1995.
He lives and works in Casablanca (Morocco).
A young graduate of the Casablanca School of Fine Arts, Mohammed Arrhioui was quickly selected by the French Institute to carry out his first residency as part of the Labo Résilience programme.
His practice questions the fragility of being and its representation. Patiently, the artist expresses and reveals with great modesty the inner suffering of the body and its traumas. The skin, like the eggshells used, cracks and reveals personal wounds. The pain, subjective and intimate, is influenced by various and cultural variables. It is these questions that are posed in Mohammed Arrhioui’s allegorical painting. In his art, he experiences human vulnerability and its physical manifestations.
